About our team

 

The team you will join is responsible for a messaging tool that plays a crucial role in customer experience when contacting Nordea’s advisors. Our team is internationally diverse, and we use English as our daily language. Each of us is a high-contributing professional, and we keep our delivery promises. Team members are responsible for the full software development cycle from design, development and testing to product performance monitoring and bug fixing. We are based in Helsinki and follow Nordea’s hybrid working model.

You will have the possibility to influence how people do digital banking and help shape Nordea’s future. You can specialize in backend (Java microservices). We are looking for people passionate about developing great software for our digital platform.

 

What you'll be doing

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Designing, creating and improving end-to-end solutions, from web/mobile front-end to a microservice back-end, together with your team members
  • Taking ownership of the code in your service area and ensuring high-quality implementation
  • Planning and coordinating development efforts with stakeholders and other developers

Your background and skills include: 

  • An engineering mindset, always striving to find the best solution

  • Readiness to bring innovative ideas to the team so that others can learn from you
  • A few years of Java development experience, such as:
  • Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, Databases (Oracle, Db2), Reactor, JPA, Hibernate, Kafka, MQ, CI/CD
