We are looking for Senior Load Balancing Engineer to ensure the maintenance and development of our existing complex load balancer infrastructure and to assist in new projects. This is an opportunity for you to get a key role in our Architecture and Design team and to cooperate with other engineering teams and key stakeholders to ensure a continuous further development, operation, and documentation of our infrastructure.

About our team    

 

Meet the Network Architecture and Design team. We are a team of dedicated and highly skilled specialists that contributes to our customer success by designing and implementing secure and stable infrastructure solutions.

 

As the Senior Load Balancing Engineer, you’ll play a valuable role as a key stakeholder in business projects across the whole organisation, you will work close to the platform owner and the architecture team. You will mainly be working with engineering and architectural tasks in the load balancer area but also helping in operations when required.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Create and maintain architecture documentation
  • Oversee the implementation of the designed architecture
  • Capacity monitoring and planning
  • Lifecycle planning of the platform and software
  • Collaboration with the platform supplier
  • Support in problem investigations
  • Vulnerability monitoring and remediation planning
  • Development and optimization of the Load Balancer platform
  • Design and implement new solutions
  • Cross-wide collaboration with technology area teams
  • Support and advice Application and Business units in utilization of Load Balancer platform

You have as well knowledge/skills within:

  • SSL/TLS and secure certificates
  • Network principals (minimum CCNA or equivalent). IP Subnets, NAT, routing and VLANs
  • Fundamentals of firewalls and multi-layer DMZ environments
  • Global Server Load Balancing, DNS and Zone Delegation
  • WAF knowledge and experience
  • TCP and UDP flow troubleshooting
  • HTTP traffic analysis

Your background and skills include: 

  • You have several years’ experience within Citrix NetScaler ADC engineering and operations equivalent other vendor i.e. F5, preferably from a large and international company
  • You understand that operational stability is the highest priority, and you have a willingness to give an extra hand in cooperation with operations of our systems
  • Furthermore, you have capabilities in supporting the specifications of business requirements - solution design and development to implementation in our test environments
  • As a person, you are proactive and visionary in your approach to work, and with your great knowledge and attitude, you are always prepared to solve many tasks during a busy and varied workday
  • Acquaintance with Nordea’s systems, products and processes will be a big advantage

 

Nice to have:

  • Work experience within big network environment and strict change control
  • Shell scripting and Python skills
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and technologies
