Senior Performance & Insights Analyst to Technology Performance Management unit
Helsinki, FI, 00500 Stockholm, SE, 112 51
Job ID: 4808
Welcome to Group Technology, where we pride ourselves on engineering solutions and direct Nordea’s transformation by providing a holistic technological view and structured understanding of the bank, and its surrounding environment to enable the Customer Vision and the Business Strategy.
Would you like to help senior leaders make better, data‑driven decisions across Group Technology? We are now looking for a Senior Performance & Insights Analyst who will act as a trusted advisor to our leadership - shaping the performance narrative, translating data into clear choices, and ensuring the right stakeholders have the right insights at the right time.
About this opportunity
Welcome to the Technology Performance Management unit within the CIO Office & Change. We add value by creating transparency, accountability and insight into how Group Technology is performing and by partnering with leaders and teams to turn that insight into focused action. We are looking for a highly driven, ownership-oriented professional to shape and continuously improve performance management process across Group Technology.
As the Senior Performance & Insights Analyst, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to turn performance data into decision‑relevant insight: what is happening, why it matters, what is changing and what to do next. You will connect technology metrics to strategic objectives, challenge assumptions when needed, and help ensure consistent, high‑quality performance reporting across key governance forums.
You will be part of a small, high‑visibility team where ownership is high and ways of working continue to evolve. We operate with a strong internal customer mindset: we listen carefully to what leaders need, respond fast, and continuously improve how we deliver insights. Through collaboration and a holistic understanding of Nordea and Group Technology, we help the organisation stay focused, well‑run and performance‑driven.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Own and run the end‑to‑end technology performance management process and reporting cadence: ensuring high quality, clear definitions and on‑time delivery to senior governance forums
- Analyse performance data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities and turn findings into concise recommendations for leaders
- Proactively spot emerging anomalies and risks before they surface in governance, engaging relevant owners early to validate drivers and agree actions
- Monitor and interpret KPIs, conducting deep dives and root‑cause analysis to explain deviations and provide a clear “so what / what now” storyline
- Partner with Group Technology units to define KPIs, and other metrics across units – ensuring clear definitions, targets, ownership, data sources, and structuring them into scorecards, dashboards or other executive performance outputs as needed
- Drive continuous improvement of reporting and dashboards (e.g. simplifying packs, standardising definitions, improving usability, increasing automation) together with BI partners
- Prepare high‑quality executive materials (pre‑reads, one‑pagers, talking points) and support senior stakeholders with clear answers and follow‑ups
- Effectively coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and drive high-quality delivery without formal authority
- Contribute to benchmarking and performance perspectives that strengthen transparency across Group Technology
You will not just report numbers — you will help leaders understand drivers, anticipate risks and focus on the right actions.
This role is open in Stockholm (Lindhagen) and Helsinki. We follow hybrid model of working.
Who you are
To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- Combine sharp analytical skills with sound judgement, and you are comfortable constructively challenging results, definitions and assumptions
- Communicate clearly and calmly with senior leaders: translating complexity into a crisp narrative with clear options and recommendations
- Master data storytelling, with proven ability to create high-impact presentations for senior stakeholders in PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365 is required.
- Are proactive by default, anticipating questions, spotting risks early and following through to ensure actions are understood and progressed – maintaining strong can-do oriented mindset even when facing challenges
- Work in a structured way, manage multiple priorities, and continuously improve how performance reporting and insights are delivered
- Value collaboration and build trust across teams and functions in a dynamic, complex environment
- Solid understanding of technology (e.g. IT delivery, data) and ability to translate it into business value for senior stakeholders
Your experience and background:
- +3 years of experience in performance management, analytics, reporting or similar roles
- Proven experience working with KPIs and performance metrics
- Analytical and reporting skills, with experience compiling management reports by combining data from multiple systems; confident in data manipulation, interpreting trends and deviations, and applying critical thinking to explain discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations
- Experience translating data into insights and recommendations that support decision-making and drive follow-through to results
- Fluent English skills and ability to give professional presentations
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science or a related field
It would be beneficial if you also have:
- Experience from the financial sector or other large, regulated environments
- Experience in fast-paced, high-expectation executive environments and confidently navigate senior stakeholder dynamics
- Skilled at aligning diverse viewpoints and turning shared goals into concrete actions
