About this opportunity


Product Manager in Nordea’s Risk Modelling Team. You will be responsible for managing the product roadmap and backlog prioritisation of one of our risk modelling IT systems. Our main IT system is a data warehouse containing the historical data we use for developing our new models on. Typical tasks here involve sourcing of various kinds of data, monitoring the quality of the data, ensuring that the end users is able to use the data for analysis purposes and take informed decisions from it. The risk models functionality itself is also embedded in the data warehouse which calculates the risk parameters for our customers.  


Key traits that we are looking for is good facilitation and project management skills, ability to abstract and show a high level plan for the coming years but also to be able to deep dive and ensure that new functionality is fit for purpose and easy to use. You should have an interest in data & product management and have the ability to understand what is important to consider in these areas. Proactivity and a self-driven, positive, problem solving mentality is a very important factor for the successful candidate.

 

You will be working in the intersection between business and IT. You should enjoy discussing functional requirements and other needs in workshops together with the modelling teams and the engineering department.
 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define product requirements and create product roadmaps that prioritize key features and deliverables, with a strong focus on data analysis and data governance related aspects
  • Work closely with the risk modelling team to gather requirements and ensure the data warehouse provides adequate analysis possibilities for risk modelling activities
  • Work together with other business units to understand where data resides in the bank and to resolve any data quality related topics
  • Lead task forces / smaller projects consisting of business / engineering resources

Your experience and background:

  • Master's degree in Business/economics or in a technical discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and interpretation
  • Project Management / Change Driver Experience
  • Experience working with business / functional teams and engineering units to gather requirements, and understand where data resides
  • Solid understanding of data ware houses / IT Systems knowledge
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
