About our team
Execution Leadership provides highly skilled Project Leaders to facilitate and drive Nordea’s strategic initiatives, programmes, and projects. Execution Leadership competences aim for excellence in change execution. They are derived from agile (execution) principles, PM competences, customer centricity, lean principles, Nordea purpose and values, Nordea leadership principles, and other additional valued competences and behaviour. Excellence in Execution Leadership is about delivering purposeful change with speed to maximize customer value, increase customer and stakeholder satisfaction, while enabling people to enjoy their work and grow.
We are now looking for an experienced Senior Excellence and Innovation Leader. At Nordea, we are deeply committed to deliver the financial solutions of tomorrow.
What you’ll be doing:
- Become the leading change agents in an organization’s change initiatives related to agile transformation and innovation adoption. Partner with senior leaders to communicate vision, overcome resistance, and drive adoption of new ways of working and thinking
- Support the implementation of Business Technology Strategy and related principles and practices at scale, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations on technology trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape. Drive thought leadership initiatives and represent the company at industry events and forums
- Provide guidance, mentoring and coaching to senior leadership, agile teams, and execution leaders to foster a culture of agility and continuous improvement
- Proactively research and identify emerging technologies, tools and methodologies with the potential to transform project management and execution. Stay up to date on the latest advancements in delivery methodologies (Agile and Project-Based) and share insights with execution leaders about best practices, lessons learned, and valuable resources
- Leverage execution expertise, support in designing and establishing delivery strategy and structure that enhances efficiency, scalability, and agility
- Exploit the collective wisdom of the crowd to solve organization toughest challenges and seize your biggest opportunities. Collaborate with execution leaders to pilot and champion the adoption of innovative solutions and new ways of working
- Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams, service areas and domains. Facilitate workshops, forums, community of practices and cross-functional initiatives to promote idea exchange, best practice sharing, and cross-pollination of innovative ideas
- Deliver on agreed objectives in a predictable and transparent manner and participate in change management initiatives

You have as well knowledge/skills within:
- Proven superior knowledge, competency, and in-depth field experience of driving agile transformations and fostering innovation in complex organizational environments
- Solution oriented, proactive in finding improvement methods and continuous development and implementing them in day-to-day work of the execution setups on various levels. Deep understanding of delivery roles including their problems, risks and ways to resolve them
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, with a passion for identifying and solving complex challenges through innovative thinking, experimentation, and iterative learning
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate innovative ideas into actionable plans
- Deep understanding of innovation principles and a passion for exploring new technologies
- Experience leading and inspiring teams in a fast-paced environment
- Proven leadership experience in driving innovation initiatives from conception to implementation, including the ability to inspire, motivate and empower teams to embrace change and pursue innovation solutions
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain meaningful professional networks
- Cross-culture competence and experience working in diverse, multicultural environment
- Excellent English skills, both in speaking and in writing
