You’d join a Nordic Research team where we have currently 4 members in Helsinki and Copenhagen. We are a part of bigger Nordea CX & Design community where we collaborate with colleagues across Nordics and Poland. We are passionate about people, design and continuous improvement, as well as customer research and about making a significant impact on Nordea’s customer experience and support the community that designs our services. About this opportunity
Are you our new Qualitative/Senior UX Researcher who wants to be a part of our journey to develop banking experience for our customers? This unique experience provides you with the responsibility to plan and execute customer research in close collaboration with designers and other design researchers in various different projects around mobile and web banking services.
You will support designers in research activities – such as usability tests, surveys, interviews, concept validation, and more – but also provide guidance and support designers when growing their skills in design research. As you know, customer research is essential in building impactful experiences and we want your expertise and passion in establishing research as a natural part of our design process.
What you’ll be doing:
- Plan and execute research projects in collaboration with designers
- Mentor designers to grow in research expertise
- Partner with other Design Researchers to align, share and develop Research work in CX & Design
- Proactively propose, try and improve ways of working and innovate on research methods in collaboration with other Design Researchers to elevate customer research in CX & Design
- Be a positive voice to bridge across design teams and business areas, avoid working in siloes
This is a full-time permanent role in Helsinki. We follow hybrid model of working (2 days onsite per week).
Who you are
We are looking for someone that can take designs, business requirements and objectives and weave them into a Design Research plan. Someone who is able to apply a variety of proven research methods, can choose the one most appropriate and defend a research approach for a given challenge.
Would you consider yourself an inspirational person who can support and motivate our designers in conducting research? Senior level research who has rich experience in customer research, working in multi-disciplinary teams and is genuinely interested in collaborating with designers with research and to help them grow their skillsets? And even bringing forth ideas and new methodologies for conducting research.
To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- Have experience in mixed methodology research. Knowledge also of quantitative research methods (questionnaires and survey research) and an ability to combine those with qualitative ones
- Be comfortable with planning, prioritizing, conducting, analysing and communicating research
- Are solution-oriented and able to find your way in complex situations, always striving to ensure that the insights you deliver are actionable
- Are able to analyse and reflect the user needs in a compelling and visual way, empowering stakeholders with insights-driven decision-making
- Openly share knowledge with others and contributes to the Design Research toolkit
- Have a degree in academic research, design research, human computer interaction or a similar background
- 5+ years of experience conducting user research with significant expertise across several research methodologies
- Fluency in communicating in English
Additional background and/or skillset, that are beneficial in this role:
- Experience working around digital services
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and operating as a bridge between different stakeholders
- Experience conducting customer research activities both online and offline
- It is a plus if you speak one Nordic language
