Job ID: 5801
Would you like to play a key role in developing Nordea’s Physical Security Programme across the Nordics, Poland, and Estonia? We are looking for a Threat Intelligence Specialist, based in Helsinki, with a solid physical security background to help strengthen Nordea Group’s Physical and People Security capability.
About our team
As a Threat Intelligence Specialist, you will be part of identifying, analysing, and mitigating threats and risks relating to Nordea’s premises, processes, and people. You will work with colleagues across the organisation to build a clear understanding of the operational threat landscape, translate that insight into security risk management strategies, and help ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and standards.
This role is for someone who enjoys creating structure and turning complex threat intelligence into practical security insight. Your assessments will help ensure that Nordea’s security posture remains fit for purpose.
You will report to the Head of Physical & People Security and be part of a team of highly skilled colleagues across the Nordics, Poland, and Estonia.
You will be based in Helsinki.
What you’ll be doing:
- Further develop and operationalize a robust threat intelligence programme
- Further develop procedures for threat intelligence planning, collection, processing, analysing, and dissemination of relevant information
- Support the organisation with threat and risk assessments prior to major events, gatherings, executive protection, etc.
- Contribute actively to comprehensive security risk assessments relating to premises, processes, and people
- Act as the focal point for operational threat intelligence tasks and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and partners
- Support, advise, and guide Nordea employees on security related questions and issues
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other relevant instructions related to threat intelligence
Who you are

In this role, your ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and influence stakeholders is just as important as your subject-matter expertise. You will work across functions, countries, and seniority levels, so we are looking for an experienced security professional with high emotional intelligence, flexibility, and situational awareness.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security insights clearly
- The ability to evaluate complex issues, influence leaders, and turn analysis into workable solutions
- A strong understanding of threat and risk assessment methodologies and frameworks
- Understanding of the general security landscape in the Nordics and globally
- Integrity and trust as your core values and excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, independent, pragmatic, diplomatic, and solution-oriented mindset
- The ability to transform security requirements into clear, easy-to-follow guidance
- Ability to work outside office hours and be on-call
Your background and skills include:
- Extensive experience with intelligence, threat analysis, and risk assessments
- Experience and comfort working with senior management and leadership support staff
- Previous military, law enforcement and/or related government security experience is preferred
