We are looking for a Valuation Analyst to perform independent and competent valuations of Agriculture and Forestry Real Estates.

 

About our team

 

Meet the Collateral Valuation and Monitoring unit. Our role is to adds value by ensuring that all real estate collaterals have the right asset value during their whole lifecycle and through that, we create value for all business units by helping and advising them with their collateral processes.

 

Our team has approx. 15 appraisers. The primary responsibility of the team is to provide valuation services for Nordea’s entities located in Finland. The team also provides assistance for other internal stakeholder and participates to internal projects connected to and dependent on valuation services. All team members have in depth understanding of real estate markets and market dynamics, valuation approaches, and relevant standards.

What you’ll be doing 
 

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Performing valuation of properties for new loans and when otherwise required
  • Valuating real estates, especially farms, farmhouses, agriculture land and forest
  • Collaborating with business units in Nordea and external partners
  • Analysing properties and advising business units
  • Keeping yourself and the team updated on the real estate market and the drivers affecting the market value of the properties

  • Have strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Understand the Finnish real estate market
  • Enjoy participating in relevant forums and projects.
  • Continuously find new ways to improve our work and processes

 

Your background and skills include:

  • Ideally you have understanding and/or experience of the bank's credit and collateral processes
  • Preferably previous working experience as a real estate appraiser, real estate agent, real estate management
  • Ideally you have working experience, interest or studies related to Agricultural and/or Forestry
  • Education or relevant degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s)
  • Fluent in Finnish and English (professional level)
