Welcome to One Digital, the biggest banking platform in the Nordics! One Digital is responsible for the majority of mass-distributed front-ends, including private netbanks, mobile banks and corporate netbanks as well as API-related development for Nordea customers.
This position is in Digital Portfolio Services unit under One Digital. In Digital Portfolio Services, we carry out various centralized activities for all One Digital applications, such as IT systems decommissioning, disaster recovery, IT change and incident monitoring, business impact and business continuity, application management, among others.  At One Digital we are continuously developing new Digital Banking systems while decommissioning our legacy systems for architectural simplication and cost saving purposes as well as excellent customer experience. And here you will be playing a key role in helping us achieve this goal as Senior Project Manager/Project Lead by driving systems decommissioning projects as well as other permanent tasks that have key importance for Nordea.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and drive the decommissioning projects of our legacy systems in close cooperation with various business and technical stakeholders
  • Help also defining long-term decommissioning scope & target and do prioritization according to our long-term decommissioning roadmap
  • Carry out communications with business and IT stakeholders to agree the details of requirements and have a regular follow-up of the tasks progress
  • Help improving our decommissioning process, checkpoints and knowledge-base for all IT/non-IT activities throughout decommissioning lifecycle
  • Take necessary actions to mitigate obstacles that prevent project progress
  • Periodical reporting of projects progress
  • The tasks will be driven by you as project lead and several other specialists in the team
  • Help also, if needed, with other tasks in our team to grow your skills into other interesting areas. Those areas that you might be interested to grow are, for example, Disaster Recovery planning, Business Continuity Plan and Application management.

The role is based in Helsinki, Oulu, Stockholm or Copenhagen.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:

  • IT experience/background (e.g. as Project Manager, Senior IT Analyst, Architect, QA lead, Operations)
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and architectures
  • Great interpersonal and collaboration skills, as well as driving things further by taking necessary actions
  • Mindset towards continuous development of process and ways of working
  • Analytical and persistent when working with problems and obstacles


Your experience and background: 

  • Several years of professional experience within IT areas mentioned above
  • Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business fields, supported with IT experience
  • Fluency in communicating in written and spoken English

It is seen as an advantage if you have ITIL training/certificate.
