About our team

Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the centre of investment management in the Nordea Group and in the Asset & Wealth Management division. NAM is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with the vision of being a leading European Asset Manager. We want to do this by delivering returns with responsibility. We meet customer demands and guide our customers in the right direction in asset selection while ensuring prudent ESG practices. NAM has around 900 employees and more than 475 Nordic and international institutional clients.

You will collaborate with a skilled team of Compliance Officers where everyone engages and contributes to the joint NAM agenda. The role will include coverage of two fund management companies - Nordea Investment Funds S.A. (“NIFSA”) and Nordea Funds Ltd. (“NF”), as well as Nordea Investment Management AB (“NIM”). Team members are located across the Nordics, Luxembourg and Portugal. We do this by identifying and assessing compliance risks, providing advice, training, performing testing as well as reporting on compliance risks within all parts of NAM.

Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting the team through its Compliance responsibilities in order to secure a continued high level of compliance risk coverage within NAM entities
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders especially within first line of defence and being their “go-to” person for compliance matters
  • Constructively challenging the business and providing continuous support through advice, surveillance and training
  • Maintaining an expert competence level in regulatory requirements and developments thereof, pertinent to fund / investment managers in the EU
  • Performing an independent assessment of compliance risks on a quarterly basis, supported by quantitative and qualitative key risk & control indicators
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of the business and best practices in compliance risk management related to investment fund products, processes, and governance
  • Being part of a broader Group Compliance organisation, ensuring collaboration and alignment with the methodology used for documenting compliance activities.

The position can be based in Copenhagen, Stockholm or Helsinki.
