In Fundamental Equities we manage international, fundamental, bottom up equity mandates with a significant focus on ESG integration. These mandates include long-only Emerging Markets, Asian, Global, European and Thematic high conviction portfolios. We have a highly disciplined investment process and take a long-term investment horizon.
The team is operating out of Copenhagen, Stockholm, London and Singapore to address the growing needs of our clients. Fundamental Equities are comprised of more than 25 investment professionals and the team is diverse with multiple nationalities and languages represented.
The selected Equity Analyst will work in the Fundamental Equities team that manages the Nordea Emerging STARS, Asian STARS and Emerging Ex China STARS equity strategies, three long-term high conviction growth-oriented Emerging Markets equity strategies, which are a part of our STARS product suite with fully integrated ESG in the investment process.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct in-depth equity research in line with the Fundamental Equities Emerging Market team’s investment philosophy and process, which is focused on growth companies with ESG integration.
- Take ownership, cover existing holdings as well as generating new investment cases across Emerging Markets and assist wherever needed in order to support the alpha generation.
- Work in close collaboration with the portfolio managers of the Emerging Market boutique.
- Incorporate ESG into the research process and equity valuation.
- Travelling is part of the job.

- Good analytical and stock-picking capabilities, as well as a good market understanding and truly long-term investor mindset is essential.

- A true interest in equity investing and in-depth financial modelling and a passion for industries, understanding business models and what makes a good investment case is also essential.
- Good teamwork skills, positive, energetic and humble mindset, and ability to thrive in an open intellectual constructive environment.
- A structured and focused mindset with the ability to work independently as well as to collaborate effectively in an international team.
- Previous experience covering Emerging Market, especially Latam and CEEMEA, as a generalist to be a strong advantage but not critical. However, a strong interest to work with Emerging Markets is to be considered critical.
- A motivation to integrate ESG aspects in the equity research process.
- Great English written and verbal communication skills.
- Good technical skills (Excel, LLMs, Bloomberg e.g.) to be a strong advantage.
The position would be for our Copenhagen office where the majority of the team is located and therefore it is important that the candidate is committed to relocate to Copenhagen.
Your experience and background:
- You have 5-7 years’ experience as a buy-side equity research generalist.
- You have a relevant Master’s degree or are a CFA charter holder.
