We are looking for a Senior Project/Programme Manager with experience in agile coaching to help drive our Projects and Programs efficiently and maturing our agile Ways of Working.

  

About our team   
  

Project Office is a team within Technology in Nordea Asset Management. 
 

We are a Project Management Office (PMO) with three different services – we are responsible for keeping the strategic development portfolio on track including servicing our prioritization board. We manage larger development initiatives, and we are focusing on maturing our Ways of Working –and our agile project management.

What you’ll be doing  
  

As Project/program Manager:

  • You will lead key initiatives following waterfall or agile methodologies (e.g. compliance, developments projects).
  • You will manage a large spectrum of internal and external stakeholders (incl. our upper management), steering committees, and ensure seamless collaboration with teams, and carefully manage scope, milestones, budget, risks and KPIs for successful execution of the projects/programs
  • You should be able to switch between waterfall and agile project management depending on the initiative
  • You will contribute to further improve the project execution processes and portfolio management capabilities of the PMO organization.

 

As an agile coach:

  • You will guide existing value streams to help them stay on track with agile techniques, and continuously improving their agile ways of working
  • Be part of starting up new value streams 
  • Lead agile workshops for both development and functional teams, as well as key stakeholders and effectively communicate agile principles, scrum practices and overall operating model across the organization
  • Champion the use of metrics and other objective measures across teams – help the agile value streams teams identify their KPIs (a key deliverable)
  • Support teams in determining the resource allocation to maintain agile practices and ensure smooth project delivery

  

Who you are  
  

We are looking for a profile that has a proven record of successful execution of large projects and programs, with high level of structure and planning skills. The ideal candidate will combine a strategic problem-solving mindset with a flair for implementing change.

 

This is the right role for you if:

  • You can demonstrate a high level of structure
  • You are able to execute on the change initiative as well as acting as an agile coach in a specific value stream
  • You have a can-do attitude, a will to contribute to the team and its development and a passion for change with an empathic mindset
  • You are able to keep calm and retain progress while performing under pressure 

  

Your experience and background:

  • Over 7 years of experience managing IT projects of varying size and complexity and developing robust processes
  • Relevant waterfall and agile project management certifications and deep insight into project management methodologies
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills  
  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
  • Proven years of experience as an Agile Coach 
  • Can showcase examples of implementing agile techniques in different cultures and environments including scaling for the right purpose
  • Experience from the financial sector it’s a strong benefit, but not a requirement
  • You have a relevant master’s degree
  • You are a team player with focus on team performance and inclusion of the right skills and competencies
  • Proficient user of Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence, and other relevant tools
