Senior Analyst in Nordea Asset Management - Regulatory Reporting
Købanhavn K, DK, 1402
Job ID: 896
Would you like to help secure Nordea Asset Management’s compliance across a wide range of market, trade and position reporting obligations? We are now looking for a Senior Analyst to strengthen our Trade & Regulatory Reporting Team.
Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the investment arm of the Nordea Group and one of the largest asset managers in the Nordics. With a strong European presence and a commitment to responsible investment, NAM offers an international environment with high ambitions and meaningful regulatory responsibilities.
About this opportunity
Our team ensures timely, complete and accurate regulatory reporting across NAM’s trading activity, fund structures and market-related obligations. We work across the full reporting lifecycle — from data sourcing and validation, to submissions, controls, exception handling and reconciliation.
We cover key regulatory regimes including MiFIR, EMIR, SFTR, MAR data deliveries, as well as Major Shareholding and Short Selling Disclosures, supported by internal governance frameworks, processes and controls.
As the Senior Analyst, you will be a central contributor to both daily operations and the ongoing enhancement of our reporting framework, including automation, data quality and process improvements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operational responsibilities.
- Execute and review daily regulatory reporting across relevant trade and position reporting regimes.
- Perform validations, completeness checks, reconciliations and exception management.
- Investigate data issues and collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Maintain audit trails and documentation and support internal and external oversight requirements.
- Contribute to reporting governance processes.
- Development & improvement.
- Improve reporting flows, data sourcing and control frameworks, with focus on automation and quality.
- Support implementation of regulatory changes by interpreting requirements and updating processes accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with Trading, Risk, Legal, Operations and Data Engineering on new data needs and solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of NAM’s reporting architecture, including data models, logic and transformation rules.
- Stakeholder collaboration.
- Act as a trusted partner to internal functions and external stakeholders on reporting matters.
- Communicate regulatory interpretations, operational impacts and issues clearly and constructively.
Who you are
You take ownership, work with structure and precision, and enjoy solving complex data and regulatory challenges. You are comfortable working across both operational tasks and longer-term improvements. You collaborate naturally and thrive in an international environment.
To do well in this role, we believe that you have:
- University degree in finance, economics, law, mathematics, data science or similar.
- Experience working with regulatory reporting in financial markets (e.g., MiFIR, EMIR, SFTR, Major Shareholding or Short Selling Disclosures, MAR or similar).
- Practical experience working with data, including SQL for analysis and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work with structured controls.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Relevant experience and background could be:
- Experience with reporting systems, trade repositories, or regulatory technology tools.
- Familiarity with trading workflows, financial instruments and market infrastructure.
- Experience with automation or scripting (e.g., Python) for Proof-of-Concept work.
- Exposure to market-abuse surveillance, fund reporting or disclosure frameworks.
What we offer:
- A central role in a high-impact area with broad exposure to financial markets, data and regulation.
- Strong professional development opportunities — regulatory, analytical and technical.
- A collaborative, international team based in Christianshavn, Copenhagen, working closely with colleagues across the Nordic region and Europe.
