About our team
Fundamental Equities is the largest and fastest-growing investment boutique within Nordea Asset Management. Now we are building a dedicated Global Thematic Equities team anchored in fundamental research, systematic insights and thematic conviction.
The Senior Thematic Portfolio Manager will play a central role in designing investment processes, driving thematic research, and constructing portfolios that capture structural growth opportunities across long‑horizon themes.

What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Construct and manage thematic portfolios
- Optimize theme exposures, factor tilts and risk contributions
- Integrate bottom‑up and top‑down insights
- Collaborate with other equities PMs, analysts, risk, distribution and ESG teams
- Drive innovation and work with quantitative tools and AI to continually enhance the research process
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you:
- Have a strong understanding of portfolio construction and optimization
- Have the ability to identify and implement thematic investment frameworks
- Are a skilled communicator and cross-team collaborator
- Are entrepreneurial, innovative, open-minded and intellectually curious
Your background and skills include:
- Min. 10 years of total working experience in active equity strategies, handling your own portfolio with investment decision mandate
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar
- Strong fundamental equity investing experience, preferably off-benchmark thematic
- Experience with factor analysis, optimization and portfolio construction using quantitative models to implement thematic investment views
- Proficiency with multi-factor risk models and portfolio analytics (MSCI Barra, Bloomberg PORT)
- Strong Python skills to implement systematic, scalable research processes and portfolio construction frameworks
- Experience with risk/performance analytics essential
- Full professional English proficiency
