Would you like to play an instrumental role in an expanding investment area that is poised for significant growth in the coming years? We are looking for an experienced investment professional to join our Private Equity team to support and develop our franchise, as part of the Private Markets team in Nordea Asset Management.


Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the centre of investment management in the Nordea Group and in the Asset & Wealth Management division. NAM is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with the vision of being a leading European Asset Manager. We want to do this by delivering returns with responsibility. We meet customer demands and guide our customers in the right direction in asset selection while ensuring prudent ESG practices. NAM has more than 900 employees servicing around 500 Nordic and international institutional clients.
 

About this opportunity

 

Welcome to the Private Equity team, sitting within the broader Private Markets team in Nordea Asset Management. The team manages a fast growing global private equity program investing across primaries, secondaries and co-investments. As a committed investment professional, you will play a valuable role in supporting and developing the Private Equity franchise, and deliver best-in-class returns to our investors.
 

In the role you will be expected to:

  • Participate in all aspects of the investment cycle across the private equity universe:
    • Sourcing and screening of new investment opportunities
    • Leading due diligence processes 
    • Demonstrating best-in-class analyses and financial modelling
    • Recurring monitoring and performance management of executed investments 
  • Work closely with stakeholders and clients in supporting and growing the private equity franchise
  • Assist with new strategic initiatives and client facing activities
  • Collaborate with the broader private markets team on an ad hoc basis 

 

You’ll join a committed, entrepreneurial and expanding team with passion for private equity and private markets. The candidate should be based in Copenhagen, Helsinki or Stockholm.

Your experience and background:

  • We imagine you hold a Master’s degree in finance/economics/business
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience 
  • Previous experience with investments in private equity primaries and co-investments is a requirement whereas previous experience with investments in private equity secondaries is a plus
  • Proficiency in English as a working language
