We’re now looking for a Senior Analyst to join our globally recognized investment team in order to support our growth plan. The position has an option to develop into a Portfolio Manager, contingent upon ambition level and proven track record within the Sustainable Thematic team.

Sustainable Thematic is part of the Fundamental Equities team, the largest equity boutique in Nordea Asset Management (NAM). NAM is a leading Nordic asset manager with growing international presence and AUM of €270 billion and 860 employees as of 3Q 2024. In NAM, returns and responsibility go hand-in-hand, and we have been integrating Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) principles into our investment strategies for over 35 years.
In the Sustainable Thematic team, we manage high conviction portfolios along core themes, including our flagship portfolios Climate & Environment, Climate Engagement and Global Impact. We have a highly disciplined investment process developed over the past 16 years of thematic investing. This team and process have attracted some of the most discerning clients in the Nordics, Continental Europe, US and Asia.
The Sustainable Thematic team is operating out of Copenhagen and Singapore and includes 13 investment professionals. A diverse team, Fundamental Equities is comprised of 32 investment professionals and 15 nationalities and languages are represented. This role is based in Copenhagen.
The selected Senior Analyst will primarily conduct fundamental research and contribute investment ideas to the Sustainable Thematic team.
There is an option to develop to a Portfolio Manager, contingent upon the Senior Analyst’s ambition level and proven track record within the Sustainable Thematic team. The Portfolio Manager option entails managing a new sustainable thematic product launch and contribute to idea generation and research within our Sustainable Thematic team.
Your future responsibilities
- Contribute to idea generation and general investment process
- Ability to incorporate sustainable themes into the valuation process and document impact on investment decisions.
- Actively reach out for knowledge sharing in the Fundamental Equities team
- Articulate effectively about Sustainable Thematic investment strategy positioning and investment process
- Option to manage an active, high conviction Sustainable Thematic portfolio according to investment mandate requirements
- The role of the Senior Analyst necessitates a high level of teamwork proficiency and the aptitude for prospering in a setting conducive to open & positive exchange of ideas

To do well in this role, we believe that you:
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an fundamental equity analyst and/or PM, preferably with investment experience in renewable energy, utility, and energy transition sectors
- Drive to integrate sustainability aspects in investment decision making process
- Thorough, consistent and disciplined in your investment approach
- Proven ability to understand and control risk
- Well-articulated and good client interaction capabilities
- The ability to deliver great results coupled with ability to work effectively in an international team
- Master’s degree within Finance/Investments preferred
- Great English written and verbal communication skills
