We work across finance, valuations, risk and capital to bring information to our main stakeholders in Nordea Markets and Group Treasury. The team is today based in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Warsaw.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Business Interaction team. We are responsible for a performance management application that supports strategic business decisions in Nordea Markets. The application consolidates income and risk and spans over all franchises and products in Nordea Markets, and is developed in close cooperation with Nordea Markets and Large Corporates & Institutions. As Associate Analyst you’ll will be working with the development of this platform.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Facilitate and refine development requests of new features and methodologies
  • Point-of-entry for interaction with users - front office traders and management
  • Update, review and secure data accuracy
  • Testing of new features and methodologies
  • Coordinate data deliveries with other teams owning data consumed by our applications
  • Support on extended automation and controls
  • Support interaction with our Markets and Treasury Stakeholders on other areas of what we cover in the Business Interaction team

 

You will be joining a team of talented and dedicated colleagues with a wide background and in-depth specialist knowledge across the value chain on risk, capital, valuations and finance/accounting.

The role covers a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, incl. risk, capital, income and costs, various technical solutions and high-level strategic discussions. As part of our team, we offer you the opportunity to develop a wide knowledge in banking. The role is based in Warsaw; Copenhagen.

  • A genuine interest in banking and financial markets and products
  • Active and self-driven, not hesitating to independently reach out to stakeholders to increase your own level of understanding, align approaches and ensure progress
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English
  • Understanding of capital, risk, balance sheet and income is a benefit


Your experience and background: 

  • An academic degree (MSc or equivalent) in economics, finance, mathematical statistics, engineering or similar
  • Strong interest in analytics and application development. Experience in Qlickview/Power BI is an advantage
  • Likely 1-2 years of experience from the banking sector, a large corporate treasury department or the consulting industry
  • Interest in working agile and in programming is an advantage. Experience with workflow tools , e.g. Alteryx, DataStage and/or SQL/Python/VBA is an advantage
