About this opportunity

Corporate Advisory and Start-up & Growth serves as a competence centre for Nordea Business Banking Denmark supporting the organisation with structured finance. We manage all parts of the Private Equity, Venture and Corporate M&A related financing value chain including origination, structuring and execution within the Danish SME-market. Our team aims to deliver on high work ethics and strong client focus together with a positive and non-hierarchal mindset, promoting all in the team to take on responsibility. As a Director / Associate Director in Corporate Advisory and Start-up & Growth, you will become an integral part of the team and drive complex financing processes for some of our most important clients in Nordea Business Banking Denmark.

What you’ll be doing:

• Originate, structure and execute complex finance transactions e.g. Leveraged buyouts, M&A-transactions and large capex-programs in the Danish SME-market.   
• Perform various tasks linked to company analysis and modelling in order to understand company specific risks. 
• Participate in structured relationship building with Private Equity funds and other market stakeholders as well as internal stakeholders in Nordea.
• Demonstrate profound understanding of the clients' commercial and financial considerations by suggesting appropriate and alternative solutions to address client needs. 
• Remain updated on developments in products, services and financial markets to provide relevant advice and solutions to clients. This includes clearly and concisely communicating recommendations and market insights, both in writing and verbally, to clients and internal stakeholders.

Your experience and background:  

• Solid academic record with Master’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• First-rate communication skills in English and Danish (or another Scandinavian language)
• Strong numerical, analytical and financial modelling skills, including practical experience with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
