At Nordea, we know our customers’ needs are changing – and we’re deeply committed to meeting them with the financial solutions of tomorrow. With us, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to grow and make your mark towards something bigger.
About our team
We are working close together with our colleagues in Digital Wealth, under Wealth Management. We are spread around the Nordic countries, Poland and Mumbai. This position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark or in Stockholm, Sweden. We add value by providing Savings and Investments services for private customers primarily through the Mobile and Netbank channels.
Our products enable customers to invest money into financial markets by buying stocks and other financial instruments, as well as track performance of created portfolios and manage them. You will be able to work on frontend solutions together with a dedicated team of developers.
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Build and maintain Angular features and reusable UI components, from design to production support
- Take ownership of key parts of the application (flows, state, performance, and stability) and help improve how we release and operate it
- Work with product owners, designers, and business partners to clarify needs and turn them into practical solutions
- Review code, share knowledge and contribute to technical decisions that set direction for the team
- Handle incidents, defects and delivery delays in a structured way, and communicate status clearly
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring and knowledge-sharing sessions to uplift the team
We follow hybrid model of working (60 % onsite, 40 % onsite) and our office is located in Metro-Copenhagen.
Who you are
This role suits a senior frontend developer who can help shape how we build, release, and maintain our applications in a large organisation.
Your background and skills include:
- +5 years of expert-level frontend development skills, with strong Angular experience
- A deep understanding of web fundamentals like HTML, CSS and the npm ecosystem
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs
- A strong focus on web accessibility (WCAG) to create inclusive user experiences
- A proactive and self-driven approach to problem-solving, with a passion for writing clean and maintainable code
- Are comfortable owning and improving complex application flows and “stages” end to end (including troubleshooting in production)
- Can communicate clearly with different stakeholders, including internal business partners and product owners who act as an interface to end users
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile team environment
It would be ideal if you also have:
- Contributed to open-source projects or have impressive personal projects on GitHub showcasing your creativity and skills
- Experience working with and developing web components using libraries like Lit and Stencil
- Proficiency in writing unit and end-to-end tests to ensure robust, user-centric applications
- Solid knowledge of state management practises and libraries like NgRx
- Have experience working in a larger organisation and be able to move work forward even when processes take time
