Welcome to the Research and Risk Solutions team. We add value by supporting Nordea’s customers with advice, structuring and research across currencies and interest rates.

The team is located at the heart of the Nordea Metro trading floor in Copenhagen, where you have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment together with some of the most dedicated people in the industry.

As an FX Strategist, you will add value by delivering research, macroeconomic perspectives, and presentations. You will play a valuable role on our team, maintaining Nordea Markets' position as one of the leading players in the Nordics, and you will have a key role in analysing the currency markets and turning these assessments and analyses into actionable ideas for customers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Macro and markets research including global macroeconomic drivers, central bank actions, geopolitical themes, interpretations of market sentiment and positioning, etc.
• Collaborate closely with some of the most competent economists and strategists in the Nordic region
• Gain ownership of Nordea's view, in particular our FX view, and participate in our forecast process
• Engage in analytical discussions with corporate and institutional customers and key internal stakeholders, e.g., Sales and Trading
• Contribute to writing reports on market developments and our general views
• Host webinars for customers across segments
• For the right candidate, this role offers a unique mandate where you get a lot of freedom to influence and develop our offering and interact with clients from your first week

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:

• Strong theoretical background with interest in financial markets, the global economy, and FX-specific expertise
• Proactive, curious, and commercial attitude with a positive and goal-oriented mindset
• Excellent social and collaboration skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in Danish and English
• Capability of combining financial theory with business opportunities

Your experience and background: 

• Business school or University degree
• You have 3-5 years of relevant experience to bring from either a similar position or from a financial institution working with macroeconomic positions
• Strong technical, statistical, and quantitative skills, including e.g., PowerPoint and Excel
• Knowledge of FX and interest rate products and experience with customer interactions will be seen as a plus
