København S, DK, 2300
Job ID: 29833
Are you interested in pursuing a career within investment banking? We are seeking dedicated and top-performing Investment Banking Analysts to join our High Yield and Loan Syndicate team in Copenhagen.
About our team
Nordea offers you the opportunity to join the leading Investment Banking franchise in the Nordics. You will work alongside some of the most experienced investment bankers as an integral part of pan-Nordic deal teams that advise and execute high-profile, syndicated debt transactions on behalf of our corporate and private equity clients. We work closely with the owners and management teams of our clients, ranging from local, family-owned businesses to large publicly-listed, international corporates and private equity funds.
Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.
What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:
- As part of our team, you will become an expert in leveraged capital markets – including European and Nordic high yield and leveraged loan markets – through analysis, contribution to pitches, and regular market updates to clients
- You will become a member of our Syndicate, a team responsible for the execution of distributed financing transactions, including client advisory as well as the management of roadshow, bookbuilding, pricing, and allocation processes
- You will be working closely with our pan-Nordic Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Leverage Finance, and Markets (Sales, Trading, and Research) colleagues, as well as other teams within the Investment Bank and Markets platform, gaining exposure to and valuable knowledge of other products including Corporate Finance, Debt Solutions and Loans, and Research and Risk Solutions.
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you:
- Are an ambitious and well-rounded candidate who possess excellent analytical and organizational capabilities as well as communication and people skills.
- Are top of your class, with strong numerical and analytical skills, and a keen interest in the fundamentals of macro-economics and financial markets.
- Have commercial and strategic acumen, work in a structured manner and thrive in a busy, dynamic work environment.
- Are a team player and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a high degree of literacy in English (proficiency in Nordic language(s) is a plus but not a strict requirement)
You are likely in the final year of your Master’s studies in Finance or Economics or recently completed your studies, and have a few years of relevant working experience from internships / student positions (e.g. banking or management consulting), or recently embarked on a career within these fields. However, we always welcome applicants possessing strong academic skills with other Master’s degrees, alternative backgrounds and/or with experience from similar roles.
