Are you a highly motivated and experienced market risk expert with an analytical and collaborative mindset? If so this might an opportunity for you as we are looking for Market Risk Expert to join the Traded Market Risk team within Nordea’s Group Financial Risk.

 

About our team

 

Meet the Group Financial Risk team. Capital rules are changing with FRTB and this is an opportunity to further develop your professional risk management skills and ensure readiness and compliance from a market risk perspective.

 

Our team focuses on different asset classes across the trading book. As a subject matter expert you will have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the bank including other risk areas, front office, and risk modelling.

What you’ll be doing

 

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Provide support as well as challenge to the business on current and emerging market risks on an ongoing basis;
  • Perform comprehensive risk management analysis and deep dives to support decision making;
  • Support oversight activities to continuously improve and ensure a strong risk culture and risk management framework;
  • Contribute to risk assessment across ongoing projects and activities;
  • Assess new business initiatives.

 

Who you are

 

This is the right role for you if you:

  • Are familiar with core market risk principles and have a good understanding of financial instruments and their inherent risks, ideally from fixed income perspective;
  • Have a good understanding of financial regulation;
  • Are diligent and have an analytical mindset that allows you to see the big picture as well as pay attention to relevant details;
  • Have the ability to communicate and document complex problems in a clear and concise manner;
  • Identify risks and challenges, but have a proactive, pragmatic, and solution oriented approach and the ability to independently drive things forward;
  • Are a strong team player and enjoy a diverse and international working environment;
  • Have high integrity.

 

Your background and skills include:

  • Hold a degree in finance, economics or equivalent;
  • Minimum of two years of experience in banking, financial markets or similar;
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
  • Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Experience with supervisory interaction would be beneficial.
