Would you like to play a key role in developing and maintaining Nordea’s Physical Security Programme in Denmark? We are now looking for a Security Specialist to support and coordinate the implementation of physical security measures in Nordea Denmark.

As the Security Specialist, you will be the focal point regarding all operational security related issues in Denmark.
Corporate Security is responsible for implementing all operational security capabilities across the Nordea Group. We do that in strong collaboration with business areas and central functions. You’ll join a forward looking team focusing on supplying Nordea safe and secure work spaces in the Nordics, Poland and Estonia. You will be operating from the HQ building in Copenhagen.
About this opportunity
As the Security Specialist in Denmark, you will be coordinating and overseeing the operational implementation of the Physical Security Guidelines in a local context. You will be supporting the organisation and local Danish stakeholders with substantial knowledge regarding Physical Security and will guide them in their concrete work in keeping employees and customers safe and secure. In this work you will work closely with our outsourced partner to ensure that the service delivery is fit for purpose and according to international best practice. You will also be having a global coordination responsibility for the technical system setup of CCTV, intrusion alarm system, access management system, etc. Furthermore, you should have high emotional intelligence and a genuine interest in other people. You will be reporting to Head of Corporate Security and be part of a team of highly skilled colleagues and work closely with key external and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support and develop Nordea’s Physical Security Program in Denmark and coordinate physical security activities across the local organisation
- Be a local support for security related topics in Denmark – both related to HQ and branches
- Guide and direct the outsourced partner to ensure that the service delivery is up to industry standard and best practice
- Develop and maintain the technical system approach and ensuring that the technical setup is up to industry standard
- Support, advice and guide internal Nordea stakeholders on physical security related questions and issues
- Be part of an dedicated unit supporting the operational security related tasks in Denmark

To succeed in this role, we believe that you are/have:
- Extensive experience from Physical Security
- Deep technical understanding and previous experience from working with technical security systems, including developing technical demands and requirements
- Action oriented, eager to take ownership as well as deliver results
- Ability to evaluate complex issues, influence leaders, create workable solutions whilst communicating in a clear and consistent way
- Hold integrity and trust as your core values and have excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrate structured thinking and be comfortable working with complex assignments

- Possess the capability of transforming security requirements into “easy to follow” security guidelines
Your experience and background:
- Experience from working with technical security systems - CCTV, intrusion alarms, access management systems, etc.
- Extensive experience from physical security and implementation of operational security measures
- Experience from working with security in complex organisations
- Experience from the banking industry or other regulated industry
- Previous Military, Law Enforcement and/or related government protective security experience is highly appreciated
- Relevant academic background from the security domain or other similar area
- Tech savvy – using Microsoft Office, Business BI, Copilot and experience with AI prompting
- Experience for reporting systems and follow up procedures
- You have full professional proficiency in both Danish and English spoken and written
