We add value by building the software platform for our FX and Fixed Income trading business in close collaboration with other e-Trading teams and key business stakeholders. As the Senior Developer you’ll play a valuable role in delivering efficient trading and sales capabilities that enable Nordea to continue to have competitive offerings that meet the needs of our customers.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Hands-on design, code, test, maintain and support event-driven micro-services in Java that implement trade execution, rich integrations and customer trade automation
  • Work with a mix of open-source technologies and our vendor-supplied trading platform BarracudaFX
  • Collaborate closely with developers and key business stakeholders in the full cycle from customer needs to technical solutions
  • Take your code all the way to production in close collaboration with our dedicated operations team
  • Act as technical expert and role model, contribute to the technical direction, and promote a culture of ownership, quality and technical excellence

 

You’ll join a team of passionate developers with strong business knowledge embedded in the trading organisation. The role is based in Copenhagen.

Your experience and background:  

  • Relevant degree in computer science, engineering, math or other technical field
  • Experience as a senior developer within large distributed system
  • Experience with server side development in Java
  • Experience with streaming and event-driven software architecture
  • Experience with fault-tolerant and self-healing systems


Good to have:

  • Experience with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Splunk
  • Experience with Gradle, Maven, Oracle SQL, Linux
  • Experience with REST APIs, the FIX protocol and other messaging technologies
  • Experience with test automation, end-to-end testing and unit testing 
  • Experience with agile development, DevOps, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Improvement
