København S, DK, 2300

Job ID: 4101

Student in Nordea

We are looking for a committed, focused and analytical Student Analyst to support the Illiquid Exposures team in Nordea’s Group Treasury.

About our team

Meet the Illiquid Exposures team. Our role is to manage Nordea’s investment activities in alternative asset classes, including Private Equity, Credit, and Real Asset Funds across different strategies and geographies – we also oversee a portfolio of seed investments supporting new Nordea Asset Management funds, as well as managing a portfolio of strategic group holdings.

Our team is an experienced yet diverse group with deep expertise in financial markets, focused on market risk mandates, quantitative analysis, alternative investments, and the evolving regulatory landscape. We offer a highly challenging and inspiring environment with strong opportunities for professional development.

Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Participate in all aspects of the investment cycle including sourcing and screening of new investment opportunities, due diligence processes and preparation of investment committee material
  • Support the team in the quarterly valuation process of fund holdings
  • Benchmark and performance analyses of the portfolio
  • Support the development of new tools
  • Collaborate with the broader Treasury units on an ad hoc basis

Who you are

You are likely in your final bachelor year and will have 2-3 years left until completing your master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field. You are a top quartile performer and combine strong analytical skills with the ability to take ownership and drive tasks independently.

Your background and skills include:

  • You are strongly result-oriented, hardworking, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You have knowledge of corporate finance and the ability to assess unlisted equity and debt instruments
  • You take ownership and drive tasks end-to-end, working effectively both independently and in teams
  • You have a demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of information, documents, and/or assets with structure and precision
  • You enjoy complexity and are motivated to build a broad bank-wide understanding, as your responsibilities span key areas including funding, risk, regulation and accounting standards
  • Strong written and spoken skills in English

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Outgoing, open and good at building positive relationships.
  • Have a keen interest in financial markets and investments.

The position is located in Copenhagen and we estimate ~20 working hours per week.
