Student Quant Developer, Copenhagen

Would you like to help build the data and tooling that powers responsible investment decisions at scale? We are now looking for a Student Quant Developer to strengthen our Fixed Income & Equities Quant Development team by building robust data pipelines and quantitative ESG and climate analytics, and turning them into practical tools and web applications that portfolio managers and analysts can use every day.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Fixed Income & Equities Quant Development team. We add value by building robust data pipelines and analytical tools that surface critical investment intelligence, enabling portfolio managers and analysts across our investment boutiques to make faster, better-informed decisions. We also help automate manual processes using AI. As the Student Quant Developer, you'll play a valuable role in bridging the gap between raw financial and non-financial data and the insights that drive real responsible investment outcomes.

What you will be doing:

• Support the creation of quantitative analytical tools; and enhancing existing climate or ESG related tools used by NAM
• Support the team with ad-hoc deliverables
• Work in the junction between investment and ESG
• Be a part of our agile development team, responsible for NAM’s ESG Data analytics platform
• Display our tool and research in a web application

You’ll join a small team of internationals, based in Copenhagen and Stockholm, in a student position with 20 hours/week based in Copenhagen.

• Are thorough and methodical in your approach to work and able to work  with limited supervision
• Appreciate working with data, coding in python and collaborate on projects through git
• Have knowledge and understanding of the Investment universes: portfolio construction, benchmark, different instruments etc.
• Have an interest in investments, climate and the broader ESG space
• Are comfortable in an environment with varied workloads according to stakeholder needs

Your experience and background:

• Currently a student at a relevant university program (such as IT University, DTU, Economics, etc.) and will continue to be for at least the next 12 months
• Proficient with coding in Python. Knowledge of Streamlit and Shiny is valuable, as well as application of AI tools
• Ability to work with, transform and present data, including integration of AI.
• Knowledge of git is seen as a valuable skill
• Are fluent in written and spoken English
• Are a nice person
