About this opportunity

 

As a programme manager in our team you will have an important role in leading significant programmes, supporting Operations in delivering on our change agenda and thereby enable the business areas in delivering their products and services to our customers. Our projects and programmes range from compliance, regulatory, transitions, centralisations and efficiency improvement initiatives. Your stakeholders will mainly be Senior executive leaders, Operations management, specialists and subject matter experts within the different areas of Operations and to some extent other business areas in Nordea. Your will become part of an international project and programme unit with 55 colleagues in 10 locations in 6 countries.

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Organise and design new programmes from the very start.
  • Plan the programme and secure the need stakeholder approvals.
  • Independently lead the programme to successful delivery.
  • Become partner to business and high level management to anchor the deliveries.
  • Be responsible for stakeholder management including reporting and follow up on programmes.
  • Lead your programmes according to the methodologies used within Nordea. Including waterfall and/or agile way of leading programmes end to end.
  • In addition to leading specific programmes we expect you to contribute to the development of our project and programme management capability.
  • Potentially act as coach for project managers and support them in their development within the field of project management.


This role can be based in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Poland or Estonia.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

 

  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in driving larger programmes or large complex projects (minimum 5 years of experience as programme manager).
  • Have experience of transitions, transformations, efficiency programmes, change management programmes or similar.
  • Have exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience with successful stakeholder management in a multi department setting.
  • Consultant experience from a top tier management consulting firm will be considered an advantage.
  • Have the ability to interact and make an impact on all levels in the organisation.
  • Have a can do attitude, a passion for change and being able to both work hands on and see the strategic high level picture.
  • Enjoy working in a changing environment and in a ambitious team.
  • Proficient user of Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and project management reporting tools.
  • Have a relevant Master or Bachelor degree within Business Administration, Engineering, Project/Programme management or similar.
  • Have a relevant certification for example Prince2, PMP, PMI IPMA or similar.
