Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the centre of investment management in the Nordea Group and in the Asset & Wealth Management division. NAM is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with the vision of being a leading European Asset Manager. We want to do this by delivering returns with responsibility. The UK market is viewed as a key growth opportunity for Nordea Asset Management. Today the business already has an established presence in the UK, particularly amongst the global wealth managers, investment consultants and institutional clients.
The firm now seeks to continue building upon these relationships, while also expanding its opportunity set. The key goal will be to provide leadership and growth to Nordea's business in both the institutional and wealth segment in the UK.
About this opportunity
What you’ll be doing:
- Strategy & Leadership: Establish and implement a winning strategy for Nordea Asset Management in the UK market. Take an entrepreneurial / self-starting approach whilst being a strong team player.
- Building Relationships: Specific focus on building relationships (with both existing investors and prospects). Researching new investors and investor categories and arranging meetings with key investors.
- Client Focus: Deliver solutions, performance and service that meet clients’ requirements and Nordea Asset Management's standards.
- Selling: Advise clients, tailor the right offering to meet each client’s needs and to close sales.
- Firm and Product Knowledge: Keep fully abreast of the firm’s investment approach, products and performance.
- Industry Relationships / Industry Knowledge: Be up to date on industry trends and themes; meet regularly with peers across the business; attend industry conferences and events. Monitor the practices, products and approaches of competitors to stay one step ahead of the market.
- Events: Plan and coordinate events like roadshows, Portfolio Manager trips to the region, lunch or dinner events, etc. Also determine the most relevant external events and organize Nordea AM's participation for the chosen ones.
This individual will likely be an established sales professional, with solid existing relationships in the region and a proven history of raising assets. They will need to combine an entrepreneurial approach and energy with a degree of technical sophistication and solutions mindset.
The role is based in London.

Your experience and background:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant sales experience covering prospective UK clients and a successful track-record of growing relationships and revenue.
- Previous experience with selling a variety of investment capabilities and solutions.
