Nordea Life & Pension Sweden is a subsidiary of Nordea Bank with its own internal IT organization. We are working closely with our business colleagues as we are responsible for developing modern services and platforms for our external and internal customers.
We are looking for a Backend Software Developer to help us digitalize the insurance market.

Our unit Node IT currently works with some of Sweden's leading employers, including tech, IT-consultants and law firms.
About our team
Our team’s mission is to help employers and their employees towards a better and safer life. We offer you an exciting workplace with the opportunity to work on a modern technology stack (microservices, GraphQL, Node.js, GitHub, Google Cloud Platform) developing the premier benefit brokerage platform in Sweden. As the Backend Developer you will be part of an agile team responsible for writing and maintaining several services in our microservice architecture.
What you will be doing:
- Develop new features in close collaboration with other teams, product managers, business users and other stakeholders
- Instrument applications for observability, debugging and continous improvement
- Work with our infrastructure team to implement best practices in terms of security and availability
- Continuously monitor the performance of the team’s services to fulfill SLOs and resolve issues
- Motivated to deliver business value through software automation

Who you are
As the Backend Developer, we expect that you have a great interest in the business to deliver concrete business value for our users.
This is the right role for you if you:
- Have a customer centric mindset and you seek actively value-creation opportunities through technology enablers
- Can collaborate with different stakeholders such as business and IT units across the value chain
- Like to develop yourself and learn new skills; being on top of new tech stuff
Your experience and background:
- +2 years of experience with DevOps and continuous delivery
- Experience with Kubernetes and microservice architectures
- Fluent English skills
- Fluent Swedish skills
- Formal education in computer science and/or software development
It is beneficial if you also know/have:
- Experience writing Node.js microservices
- Experience writing GraphQL apis
- Experience from the insurance industry
- Skilled at aligning diverse viewpoints and turning shared goals into concrete actions
This role is open in Malmö. We follow hybrid model of working.
