About our team

 

Welcome to Transaction Banking and Nordea Finance Compliance. The unit consists of 8 highly skilled Compliance Professionals across Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. The unit is acting independently of business and operates organizationally in Group Compliance. We add value by proactively helping business manage its compliance risks and achieve strategic ambitions. As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will be working closely with the CEO and Leadership Team of Nordea Finance Norway and report to Head of Transaction Banking and Nordea Finance Compliance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Proactive identification of Compliance risks and advisory on risk mitigating measures
  • Propose, design, coordinate and execute Compliance activities in Nordea Finance Norway
  • Compliance reporting to Nordea Finance Leadership Team and Board of Directors
  • Provide Compliance Training to Nordea Finance Norway
  • Engage in regulatory interactions in Norway where required
  • Continuously maintain and develop own professional skills, competencies and knowledge within relevant areas of responsibility
  • Ad-hoc participation in projects, where you sometimes also will be expected to take the lead
  • Are accountable for identifying, developing and maintaining relationships to all relevant stakeholders in your area of responsibility. Role model behaviour as a trusted partner also for stakeholders at executive level, to ensure constructive collaboration and a good reputation of the function

 

You’ll join a highly dedicated and top performing unit. The role is based in Oslo and you will be situated together with Nordea Finance Norway. The unit is a respected and trusted advisor to business.

 

Who you are

 

This is the right role for you if you: 

  • Seek to become a trusted advisor, and you succeed by combining your regulatory competence with understanding of business and effective compliance risk management
  • Are a strong communicator and able to influence, and also have the will and ability to listen and understand others’ point of view
  • Base your advisory on sound analysis and facts
  • Are self-motivated and able to work independently, while remaining a team player
  • Are good at building and maintaining relations

 

Your background and skills include:

  • 5+ years of experience within Legal, Risk, Compliance and/or Audit
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations, including AML
  • Master’s degree in economics, law or similar
  • Solution-oriented approach, good communication skills
  • Ability to summarise complex information for audiences
  • Good understanding to apply a risk-based approach
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian - both speaking and writing
