Investment Banking AD or Director, High Yield and Loan Syndicate

We are now looking for an experienced individual to join Nordea Debt Syndicate in Oslo. The core focus for our new colleague will be the Norwegian high yield bond market with additional responsibilities in corporate IG. Relevant candidates are likely to have experience from a position in Syndicate, Sales, Credit Research, Trading or DCM but we are open-minded with respect to other backgrounds as well.

Main responsibilities in this role:

• Win and execute high yield bond mandates with a focus on the Norwegian market  
• Active sparring partner for DCM with views on opportunities, go-to market strategies and pricing  
• Follow market trends to identify and determine prevailing market terms and pricing and translate it into relevant market updates to internal and external stakeholders  
• Maintain network of relevant investor contacts  
• Take part in the overall deal flow on the syndicate desk including NOK IG deals

Who you are

Your background and skills include:

• In-depth understanding of the market, structures, investor dynamics and execution strategies 
• Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet time-sensitive deadlines  
• Well organized and able to efficiently manage work with minimal supervision  
• Good written and verbal communication skills  
• Self-directed, motivated, and able to work independently  
• Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with all Nordea stakeholders and collaborators. 
• Interest in compliance related topics including understanding of sanctions, internal policies, guidelines and potential compliance risks with the relationships we have. 
• Have a Master’s degree within a relevant field  
• Be fluent in spoken and written English
