About this opportunity
Welcome to the DCM team. We add value by providing our client base with the most relevant thoughts and ideas in relation to capital markets related debt. As an Analyst, you will get the opportunity to advance your analytical capabilities and learn about financial markets, economic trends, capital markets debt structuring and execution and debt capital markets in general. Through the job you will gain valuable insights into how the financial markets work and how to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Working in Nordea Investment Banking is demanding but highly rewarding. We have a very dynamic working environment and relaxed atmosphere even while working hard.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will assist the team in preparing presentations for pitches and client presentations including in-depth market and pricing analysis
- Participating in the various steps of the execution of transactions and assisting in facilitating an overall smooth execution process including the preparation of investor materials
- You will stay on top of current market developments, market activity and provide economic and capital market updates as input to analysis sent out to clients
- You will update and improve various spreadsheets, presentations and databases utilized in relation to the ongoing coverage of clients
The role is based in Oslo, Norway.

The successful candidate is expected to be goal oriented with talent for simultaneously managing multiple tasks and a very strong motivation to perform, allowing the candidate to work independently and on multiple challenging engagements while still maintaining a high degree of quality-consciousness. Strong communication and presentation skills as well as a solid knowledge of various computer tools (e.g. Microsoft Office) are considered vital. Broad portfolio and strong transaction pipeline occasionally create a hectic and ever-changing operating environment and we therefore look to hire professionals who are used to work hard to meet deadlines, have a solution-driven mindset and who strive to deliver results which surpass expectations.
Key qualifications required for the position:
- You are in your final year of your Master's with a strong academic background and solid interest for corporate finance and markets
- You have a high degree of personal drive
- An interest in economics and/or financial markets
- You are goal-oriented and keen to perform and deliver
- You have the willingness and ability to take responsibility at an early stage
- For candidates with experience we are looking for candidates with a background from Investment Banking, Consulting, Accounting or similar fields that provide relevant experience for the role and an ability to hit the ground running
- Fluency in English and Norwegian with excellent spoken and written communication
