We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join the team in Business Banking Legal (BB Legal) in Oslo, Norway.

About our team
BB Legal provides in-house legal advice to support the Business Banking (BB) area. BB offers a broad range of services including financing, payment solutions, investment services and capital market products to small, medium-sized and large companies.
As a Legal Counsel in BB Legal, you would be a part of Group Legal - around 300 professionals in the Nordic Region, Poland and the US, of which approximately 40 based in Oslo, Norway.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide legal advice and lead negotiations on loan transactions and work-outs
- Draft and review loan documentation and related agreements
- Advise on product development, particularly within loans, guarantees, and accounts
- Advise on non-financial legal risk matters

We believe you share these values with us and bring the following qualifications:
- A Norwegian master’s degree in law with strong academic results
- Excellent language skills in Norwegian and English
- At least three years of relevant experience from a law firm, financial institution or public authority
- Solid experience with banking and finance law, including loan transactions
- Experience with acquisition financing would be an advantage
- A proven ability and passion to find solutions to complex problems
- Proven ability to work proactively and to take responsibility for work tasks independently
- High integrity with a willingness to speak up
- Interest in new technology and positive attitude toward change
- A strong ability to prioritize competing demands and work under time pressure
- Good business understanding and stakeholder management skills
