We’re looking for an experienced and driven Marketing Lead to head our local marketing team in Norway. This role is both strategic and hands-on, perfect for someone who enjoys working close to the business and making a real impact on growth and brand performance.
About our team
Welcome to the Group Marketing & Channels unit, a Nordic team for both group and local marketing. We set strategic direction and develop, implement and execute world-class marketing, to drive growth and build brand, in close collaboration with the business and our colleagues in Communications, Digital Sales and other teams.
Group Marketing & Channels is a Nordic unit combining group marketing capabilities with local marketing teams in each market. The unit also includes our Channels team, which develops and manages our Intra and Nordea.com channels across markets.

What you'll be doing
As Marketing Lead, you’ll be responsible for the local marketing agenda across different areas of the business, including Personal customers, Business and Private Banking. You’ll lead a team of skilled marketeers and work closely with colleagues in Communication, Digital Sales, and Customer Communication to deliver strong results together.
- Lead and develop the local marketing team, including people management responsibilities
- Translate group strategy into local plans that drives brand and commercial growth
- Work closely with different business areas to support their goals
- Translate local needs into marketing strategies and plans, driven by customer insights, market dynamics and performance data
- Work with creative and media agencies, from developing concepts to planning and following up on activities
- Prioritize marketing investments and media budget to create the best impact
- Make things happen in a matrix organization, connecting group direction with local priorities
You’ll report to the Head of Group Marketing & Channels and be part of the Nordic leadership team for Marketing & Channels. Locally, you will collaborate closely and report to Local Head for Group Brand, Marketing & Communication.
Who you are
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have/are:
- Solid experience in marketing, both on a strategic and execution level, including having worked with some of Norway’s strongest and most successful brands.
- Experience of building brand in a up to date context, working 360 across different channels.
- Ideally having worked in financial sector or in a large corporation, combined with experience in agency/consultancy
- Strong drive, taking initiative, and making things happen
- Great at working with many stakeholders and building trust
- Using data and insights to guide decisions and arguments
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and navigating complexity
- Hold a university degree or other relevant higher education in marketing, communication, business or a related field
