Would you like to play a key role in developing Nordea’s Physical Security Programme in Norway and across the Nordics, Poland, and Estonia? We are now looking for a Security Risk Management Specialist with a solid physical security background. You will be based in Oslo and form an active part of Nordea Group’s Physical & People Security unit spanning the Nordics, Poland, and Estonia.
About this opportunity
As the Security Risk Management Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks in relation to premises, processes, and people. You will cooperate with a wide range of colleagues to develop and implement security risk management strategies and frameworks and to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and standards.
This is a role for someone who enjoys creating structure. You will help design and embed scalable risk assessment processes across the Nordics.
You will work closely with the Country Security Manager for Norway to support and continuously improve governance and ways of working across the physical security domain in Norway and the Nordics as well as Poland and Estonia. The domain spans areas such as incident management, risk management, premises protection, event security, employee protection, vendor governance, travel security, helping to ensure that risks and mitigations are managed consistently across this landscape. You will be reporting to Head of Physical & People Security and be part of a team of highly skilled colleagues across the Nordics, Poland, and Estonia and work closely with a range of stakeholders internally as well as externally.
What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments related to premises, processes, and people
- Develop and maintain risk assessment frameworks and procedures
- Help design and embed scalable risk assessment processes across the Nordics
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation measures
- Monitor emerging threats, trends, and incidents and assess their potential impact on Nordea
- Present, communicate and report findings through clear risk narratives, dashboards, and decision material for different audiences
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure mitigations are agreed, implemented, and followed up upon
- Work closely with the Country Security Manager to drive continuous improvement across the physical security domain, ensuring consistent risk and mitigation follow-up

Your experience and background:
- Extensive experience with Physical Security and Security Risk Management
- Experience from working with security in complex organisations
- Preferably experience from the banking industry or other regulated industry
- Experience working with governance, risk and compliance as well as issue management
- Preferably previous Military, Law Enforcement and/or related government security experience
- Relevant academic background from the security risk management domain or other similar area
- Full professional proficiency in Norwegian and English (spoken and written)
