Senior Customer Insight Analyst

Oslo, NO, 0368

Job ID: 31509

Welcome to Customer Insights in Nordea’s Group Brand, Communication and Marketing (GBCM) organization. We are a Nordic team working across all four countries to deliver customer insights based on qualitative and quantitative research and survey methods. The team is also responsible for delivering overall key performance indicators of customer satisfaction (Customer Experience Survey) and brand perception (Brand Tracker).

Are you passionate about bringing the voice of the customer into business decision-making? We are looking for two Senior Quantitative Analysts to join our Customer Insights-team in both Copenhagen and Oslo.

At Nordea, we see that the world is changing fast – and we want to be one step ahead of the curve. That’s why we’re deeply committed to providing the financial solutions of tomorrow to our customers. We’re creating an agile environment where we experiment and grow together – and we need your ideas and unique background. With us, you’ll be in good company with a chance to make your mark on something bigger.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Customer Insights team.

Are you eager to explore complex business challenges? Do you get excited when uncovering unmet customer needs? Are large data sets and quantitative analyses part of your daily tasks? We are looking for the Senior Quantitative Analyst to drive our recurring and ad-hoc market research in the Nordic consumer markets.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to turn business challenges and needs into tangible research objectives and establish research plans
  • Executing quantitative research projects, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues
  • Connecting insights and combine data from your projects with other sources (e.g. qualitative insights, desk research) to gain deeper understanding of customer behaviours
  • Supporting our team in delivering existing recurring customer surveys
  • Further automation, reporting updates and dashboard building in Qualtrics
  • Continuously improving existing processes, methods and data outputs
  • Transforming your findings into tangible business insights and simple, to the point visualizations
  • Communicating and presenting your insights to key stakeholders

You’ll join a team driven by curiosity and exploration, with team members from a broad range of academic backgrounds. All of us have a keen interest in learning new methods and building upon each other’s areas of specialization. The positions are based in Copenhagen and Oslo. Fluency in Danish/Norwegian is required since all surveys are done in local language, in addition to strong English skills as this is Nordea work language and the role is based in a Nordic team. The role is based in Oslo.

Who you are

Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in being at our best – and that we imagine you share with us.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Are more interested in what the numbers tell you than the numbers themselves. You have a sense for how to translate large data sets into actionable insights
  • Can think both analytically and intuitively to uncover user needs
  • Enjoy working close to business and understand business needs
  • Have technical and numerical skills with attention to detail but do not lose focus of the overall goals
  • Are naturally curious and constantly search for ways to improve processes and deliveries
  • Like to collaborate with others and thrive on feedback and continuous improvement
  • Build relations professionally across the organization to improve your own work
  • Have strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Comfortable and engaging when presenting insights to a variety of audiences

Your experience and background:

  • Experience working with quantitative research methods, including conducting and analysing surveys
  • Experience with Qualtrics, preferably also with reporting in Qualtrics is a big advantage
  • Hands-on knowledge in applying data science and statistical methods to survey data - prior work with sampling and weighting methods is a plus
  • Working knowledge with statistical tools, especially R and/or willingness to learn R, and/or SPSS
  • Experience with content analysis of open comments is an advantage
  • Experience presenting and communicating results to diverse audiences
