About this opportunity
You will join Nordea in Oslo and work close to the Markets trading floor and client-facing teams. The programme is designed to give you practical insight into capital markets, investment banking and relationship management, while helping you build analytical, commercial and collaborative skills.
What you’ll do
You will work on relevant, challenging and intellectually stimulating projects and analytical assignments across Nordea Markets, Investment Banking and Large Corporates & Institutions. Your daily work may include:
- Taking part in the day-to-day activities of the FX, derivatives, fixed income, equities and relationship management teams, giving you insight into how our business areas operate.
- Conducting company-specific equity and credit research across different industries.
- Contributing to projects linked to Investment Banking and Sustainable Finance.
- Supporting projects with Client Executives in Large Corporates & Institutions.
- Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis related to our business areas, with guidance from experienced colleagues.
- Developing and supporting presentations, reports, financial models and analytical materials.
- Participating in our well-established Summer Academy programme.
- Experiencing a steep learning curve through challenging assignments in a dynamic working environment.
You will join a motivated group of Summer Interns for an eight-week internship in the exciting and dynamic financial industry, working alongside highly qualified and committed colleagues. Selected interns may be considered for a permanent full-time position after graduation the following year. Please note that your Master’s degree must be completed by autumn 2028.
The positions are based in Oslo.

Eligibility requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree and have one year remaining until graduation after the internship. Preferred fields of study include finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, data science, or other analytical and quantitative disciplines.
- Have a strong academic track record and a genuine interest in financial markets, banking, investments and the broader economic landscape.
- Have strong communication skills and are fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
- Are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Have strong digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills considered an advantage.
- Are confident using AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, analyse information, generate insights and support decision-making, while applying sound judgement and critical thinking.
