As a Nordic leader, the Nordea Leveraged Finance unit focuses exclusively on servicing the bank’s private equity clients in a broad set of financing situations, including leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalisations and refinancings. Our team consists of 40+ professionals across the Nordics which, in close collaboration with relevant units in investment banking, is responsible for pitching, structuring, executing and ultimately distributing debt instruments to support our clients’ financing needs. We are uniquely positioned as the leading Nordic Leveraged Finance team with a product-neutral approach and our capabilities span across the full spectrum of debt solutions including bank financings, distributed loans and high yield bonds.
About this opportunity
Following an introductory training period that will equip you with the toolbox needed for you to contribute, you will get exposure to transactions and the opportunity to be involved in finding solutions to solve complex financial situations. You will get the opportunity to contribute in various processes, ranging from live transactions and pitches to monitoring of our portfolio. The main responsibilities for our interns include aggregating and analysing qualitative and quantitative data as well as contributing to internal and external presentations. You will be supported and work closely together with our experienced colleagues in various situations, learning first-hand the decision-making process of an investment bank.
This internship is for spring 2026 and lasts from mid-January to mid-June (exact dates to be agreed with the relevant candidate), it is full-time and based in Oslo.

Desired skills, experience and education:
- Completed at least 3 years of university studies within a relevant subject (finance, business, engineering or similar) by the start of the internship
- Positive mindset and strong desire to contribute and develop your skillset
- Meticulous and passionate about creating high quality deliverables
- A genuine interest in business models and financial analysis
- Basic understanding of accounting (financial statements)
- Proficiency in English
