What you’ll be doing:


  • Leading, implementing and developing Test Automation strategy for Nordea One Digital
  • Supporting, training, mentoring, and consulting the team members to ensure best test automation practices are implemented and followed according to Nordea Digital QA strategy
  • Strongly contributing to Nordea Test Automation forum and builds best practices from vision to concrete actions


The role is based in Helsinki (Vallila campus) or Oulu (Peltola campus) , Finland.

You are highly experienced in test automation leadership, implementing test automation strategy in large scale organization, managing test automation activities with different automation frameworks and building best practices. The role furthermore requires a profound knowledge and understanding of agile software development.


You have a high level of technical skills in various IT environments as our system portfolio consists of infrastructure applications running in a very complex environment on mainframes, UNIX and Windows.


To succeed in this role, we believe that you:


  • Have a strong experience of implementing Test Automation strategy from vision to operative actions
  • Have ability to see the big picture, and being able to find well balanced quality assurance functions with automated and manual testing methods
  • Have a strong knowledge of test automation frameworks, automation strategies, and implementations of it
  • Have experience of setting automation KPI’s, build continuous monitoring and generate actions based on data
  • Have a proactive, innovative and solution driven mindset. Are eager to learn and comfortable with delivering a variety of tasks in an evolving and changing environment.
  • Have strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in a sometimes unstructured, fast-paced environment with an optimistic approach to challenges
  • Familiar with microservice architectures, web and mobile platform front end technologies
  • Are very self-driven person with high quality driven mindset


Your experience and background:


  • +5 years of experience in Test Automation leadership position
  • Experience of implementing Test Automation strategies
  • Strong experience of leading operatively QA functions and teams
  • Experience of Test Automation tools and frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Java, js, Cucumber, Gherkins)
  • Experience of defining Test Automation KPI’s
  • Expert level knowledge of QA related tools like qTest, JIRA, Jenkins, Splunk, Adobe Analytics
  • Experience in CI/CD / DevOps toolchains
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.
