We are seeking a dynamic and motivated junior AI developer to join our team. This role is central in deploying AI tools within our organization, with a particular focus on knowledge bases, agentic workflows and fine-tuning. The role will operate at the technology and business, assisting in the technical implementation of use cases and being part of the cross-functional AI Lab developing our common tools.

About this opportunity:

You will join our AI Lab team which is focusing on deploying AI and data oriented technology within the organization. We seek to build a solid framework around AI technologies to simplify our processes, understand better the market, and invent the ways of working of tomorrow. You will have the chance to apply your theoretical and technical knowledge to real-world problems and be part of the deep transformation fuelled by AI.

• The role is based in Oeiras (Quinta da Fonte).
• It’s expected you to work 100% on-site in the first 6 months and after on an Hybrid regime (3 days in the Office + 2 days from home).

To succeed in this role, we believe you:

• Have a strong analytical mindset with high commitment and attention to detail.
• Are proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Are proficient in Python, with hands-on experience building data pipelines or ML-related scripts.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies — comfortable working in sprints, participating in stand-ups, retrospectives, and contributing to a team that ships iteratively.
• Are comfortable with version control workflows using Git and platforms such as Bitbucket or GitHub
• Have a solid understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) principles and modern machine learning techniques.
• Are familiar with best practices in Prompt Engineering and working with large language models (LLMs).
• Have a genuine interest in finance and asset management topics is also a plus.

Bonus Points

You'll stand out if you have experience with any of the following:

• Workflow Orchestration - frameworks such as Airflow or Prefect
• Cloud Data Warehousing - platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks
• Containerisation & Orchestration - Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Cloud Platforms - AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Agentic Frameworks - tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio or n8n

Your experience and background: 

• Master in Computer Science, Maths or other numerate subject.
• 1 to 3 Years of prior experience in projects involving implementation of AI enterprise tooling, solution design and use case implementation.
• Fluent in English. (Other European language are considered an asset)
