About this opportunity

Welcome to our Institutional & Wholesale Fund Reporting team. The team consists of 17 professionals based in Portugal and Luxembourg. In this role, you will work closely with our developers and business stakeholders, bridging the gap between strategic business goals and technological solutions.

 

You will analyze, design, and implement robust solutions that drive business efficiency. Our aim is to provide the most accurate and comprehensive data to our clients, enabling them to make well-informed investment decisions. In this perspective, you will have an important role in maintaining efficient data flows and accurate calculations within our systems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyse, design, and implement robust solutions (data flows, database modelling, calculations, reporting, API/Kafka Integrations).
  • Understand the system’s technical setup and business concepts.
  • Being the interface between business users and developers.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain our change management pipeline (JIRA, Confluence, among others).
  • Participate in prioritization establishment of the roadmap.
  • Maintain well written solution documentation and make sure it is up to date.
  • Participate in project management and align delivery schedules and priorities by liaising with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Support business users with End User Built applications.
  • Developing your knowledge on the Luxembourg fund industry, regulations, fund management and financial derivatives instruments.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Have a good understanding of data modelling.
  • Have general knowledge of system architecture principles.
  • Have good writing skills and a synthetic mind, writing clear specifications and being able to explain both the business and technical aspects of a solution is key to the role.
  • Knowledge of SQL, VBA, Python or other programming language is considered an asset.
  • Have interest in Finance industry and Asset management is also beneficial.
  • Are proactive in finding the right solutions and open to new ideas when needed using critical thinking.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and effective communication: Good listening capabilities are important to gather requirements but the role also requires to be able to steer the discussions towards the objective.
  • Are accurate and detail oriented, able to explain complex topics in a simple and comprehensive manner.


Your experience and background: 

  • Master’s degree in engineering, economics, finance or similar.
  • Double degree in Engineering/Finance is considered an asset.
  • Prior experience as a business analyst in the finance industry is advantageous.
