Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the centre for investment management in the Nordea Group and in the Asset & Wealth Management division. NAM is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with the vision of being a leading European Asset Manager. We want to do this by delivering returns with responsibility. About this opportunity

You’ll join our Institutional and Wholesale Distribution division, where we steer all the distribution, marketing and client service efforts of Nordea Asset Management. You will be part of the Business strategy team working directly with our Luxembourg based hub, providing a solid support for our sales globally. You’ll join a company with Nordic values and a flat corporate structure in which everyone can make a difference.

You’ll be supporting and contributing to a major business focused project, but not limited to it. Concretely, it concerns a project of which the goal is to:

  • Complete mapping of each Global Financial Institution (business model, stakeholders, ESG methodology, sub-advisory services)
  • Defining roadmaps and related action plans for each of this Global Wealth Manager
  • Ongoing accurate maintenance of the data set (AuM, flows, approved funds, stakeholders, decisional processes, influence flows) 
  • Performing market research & intelligence. You will have access to Broadridge Market Intelligence Tools
  • Screening industry news (Ignite, Citywire, Investment Officer) potentially through AI in cooperation with a data scientist
  • Defining and implementing the most appropriate IT tools to store, share, disseminate and make available the relevant information to the appropriate internal stakeholders 
  • Defining the appropriate stakeholders for each GWM client and organise proper ad hoc working groups and update calls
  • Sharing and disseminating data, news to all GWM stakeholders in the most optimal way
  • Coordinating the efforts on GWM in the various countries, including senior strategic in-person meetings


Through the project you will gain and develop your knowledge on the European fund industry, regulations, and fund management. The role is based in Oeiras (Lisbon, Portugal) and you will report to the Head of Business Strategy. It involves frequent contacts with and exposure to Senior Management, including Regional Heads.

  • Education in Economics, Finance, Engineering or related fields
  • First class communication, organizational, time management and coordination skills
  • Self-starter able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills: enthusiastic and positive personality, intellectually curious, attentive to detail, proactive, adaptable and collaborative
  • English proficiency
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools 
  • Prior exposure to or strong interest in financial markets
