About this opportunity
Welcome to the Nordea Asset Management Compliance team. We add value by providing advise and support to enable sound business, and we support senior management and the board in their oversight. To be as relevant as possible we seek to understand and develop knowledge of the business, the risks and the controls to ensure we comply with internal and external requirements.
As a Compliance Officer, you will play a valuable role for NAM to deliver fair customer outcomes across the end-to-end lifecycle and to protect the integrity of the markets where we operate.
What you’ll be doing:
- Continuously identifying and assessing compliance risks (the inherent risks, the control environment and the residual risk exposure).
- Provide advice, support, training in compliance matters, and take responsibility for execution of compliance activities such as monitoring and reporting.
- Maintain, develop and implement the overall Compliance Risk Managment Framework.
- Together with the team take ownership for handling the day-to-day tasks in the Compliance Function.
- Eventually take on the role as the reponsible Compliance Offier for the NIM AB Portuguese branch and the business in Portugal.
You will join a dedicated team with a high commitment to deliver value adding compliance work, to promote an effective management of the compliance risk in 1 LoD and to support the senior management and board oversight. The role is based in Lisbon.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- You have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Asset Management experience is a nice to have, and it is seen as positive if you previously have worked with MiFID II, MAD/MAR and/or UCITS/AIFMD.
- You have high sense of integrity, a structured and holistic approach with a solid analytical thinking combined with attention to details.
- You have well developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to build relationships.
