About this opportunity
Welcome to our Institutional & Wholesales Fund Reporting team. The team is part of Nordea Asset Management distribution unit. We seek to provide comprehensive quantitative data to our investors on our products. You will work on initiatives withing our distribution unit involving data science and automation. Either to strengthen our sales/marketing activities or to improve processes efficiency of our processes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Writing maintainable, performant and well-tested code in Python.
- Work closely with our Distribution business unit to identify issues and use data to propose solutions for effective decision making.
- Explore and examine data from multiple diverse data sources.
- Build algorithms and use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce scalable solutions.
- Maintain solution documentation and make sure it is up to date.
- Liaise with stakeholders across the organization to align delivery schedules and priorities.
- Developing your knowledge on the Luxembourg fund industry, regulations, fund management and financial derivatives instruments.
- Test and validate the proper functioning of the solutions in collaboration with the Product Owner and Business testers.
- Working with databases / queueing systems or other data-oriented technologies with a concern for scalability and performance.
The role is based in Oeiras.

Your experience and background:
- Bachelor or higher in Computer Science, Maths or other numerate subject.
- Education in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Analytical mindset & high commitment.
- Knowledge of key concepts in Statistics, Mathematics and data science.
- Knowledge or experience in Machine Learning procedures and tasks such as Classification, Prediction, and Clustering.
- Programming skills in Python and knowledge of common numerical and machine-learning packages.
- Prior experience in projects involving curation of large dataset and machine learning algorithm will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of current Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence.
