Fund Reporting Product Owner (NAM Portugal)

We are seeking an experienced product owner to develop and own our common reporting tooling and fund reporting data layer. This role is a serious opportunity for someone who want to develop in the role of Product Owner in the context of Asset Management. It entails stakeholder management, prioritization based on business needs, solution design and tool procurement. We are looking for someone showing strong ownership with a delivery mindset.

About this opportunity

You will join the Data & AI acceleration unit which is focusing on transforming the organization to follow modern and emerging standards. We seek to build a solid framework around data and AI technologies to simplify our processes, understand better the market, and invent the ways of working of tomorrow. Especially we are building a new data platform and revamping our entire reporting functions. Reporting is a key function of any Asset Manager and is an integral part of the core business of NAM. You will have the responsibility to build a strong data & tooling foundation for our Fund reporting and beyond.

• The role is based in Oeiras (Quinta da Fonte).
• It’s expected you to work 100% on-site in the first 6 months (with flexibility) and after on an Hybrid regime (3 days in the Office + 2 days from home).

To succeed in this role, we believe you:

• Have strong analytical capabilities: Ability to map complex business processes, weigh different options, gather feedback and take sound decisions. 
• Take ownership of challenges end-to-end
• Manage cross-functional stakeholders with confidence, humility, and a strong focus on outcomes.
• Proficient in Lean / DevOps / Agile thinking; especially continuous improvement, high throughput, work in progress management.
• Have good understanding of Data Mesh framework and Data Modelling concepts
• Ability to animate an Agile team.  
• Have a genuine interest in finance, asset management and product reporting topics is also a plus.

You'll stand out if you have experience with any of the following:

• Product Reporting in Asset Management or similar industry.
• Prior experience with Snowflake, DBT, Kafka, Golden Gate, Airflow, Airbyte, Data Hub.
• Prior experience in building layers allowing LLMs to retrieve structured data.
• Containerisation & Orchestration - Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Cloud Platforms - AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Agentic Frameworks - tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio or n8n.

Your experience and background:  

• Master in Computer Science, Maths or other numerate subject.
• 5 Years+ of prior experience in projects involving implementation of data platform, solution design or reporting solutions.
• Fluent in English. (Other European language are considered an asset).
