Are you our new Head of Corporate Actions within Back Office in Nordea Asset Management and would you like to play a key leadership role at the largest Nordic asset manager? 

 

We are now looking for a specialist leader who, together with a  skilled team of senior colleagues across 2 locations, will ensure that all corporate actions in Nordea Asset Management are processed accurately, efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Corporate Action Team in Nordea Asset Management.


Our main  purpose is to ensure that we are a professional sparring partner to our Investment organization on all corporate actions and process these timely and with a high accuracy. We are 8 people in the team all with a   vision to deliver world class corporate action service. We are specialized in areas around mandatory and volountary corporate actions and the operational knowhow on setups and consequences is anchored within our team. 
 

You will be  overseeing a team of seven specialists across 2 locations and your role is threefold; leading and sparring with the team, monitoring and processing corporate actions and finally ensuring that our Corporate Actions processes are consistent with NAMs ambitions on implementing viable solutions.
 

What you will be doing:

  • Leading a cross boarder team with 7 specialists.
  • Develop and supervise the Corporate Action team, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate processing of corporate actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including custodians, brokers and issuers.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as portfolio management, trading and compliance to ensure the smooth processing of corporate actions.
  • Monitor and review corporate action announcements and coordinate with relevant parties to make informed decisions.
  • Representing NAM in working groups.

 

Furthermore you will be part of the management team in Nordea Asset Management Back Office

 

The opportunity is open to experienced candidates with a background on Economics, Finance or Mathematics with a proven interest in banking operations, corporate actions or relevant Back Office Services.

Previous leadership experience of a team of specialists is an advantage 
 

The role is based in Copenhagen or Lisbon.

  • Are confident in the role as a playing coach. You will be expected to both lead, sparre and built specialist knowledge on Corporate Actions and use this knowledge within your team.
  • Have an interest in being Nordea Asset Managements competence center on Corporate Actions. 
  • Will be able to translate complexity and deliver informed data to our portfolio managers.
  • Never do the same manual task twice without considering automation as such.


Your experience and background: 

  • Leadership experience, either as line-/ or project manager.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience in asset management with a focus on corporate actions.
  • Demonstrated experience  developing a team.
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
