About this opportunity
Welcome to the IWD Investment Products RFP team. The team is part of Nordea Asset Management distribution unit. We handle Request for Proposals (RFP) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ) for our international Institutional and Wholesale Distribution Clients. You will be in contact with our Sales organization as well as Middle office and product specialists.
The traineeship we offer is for a period of 12 months in Lisbon (Oeiras).
What you’ll be doing:
- Deal with Institutional and Wholesale Request For Proposals (RFP) on specific investment strategies with a special focus on the operational side of the value chain as well as operational due diligence requests (DDQ).
- Establish and maintain good network with Sales, Product Managers and other key stakeholders, such as operational teams being involved in the RFP/Sales process.
- Assist in handling incoming requests from clients or Sales in a timely manner and with attention to detail.
- Participate in further developing the RFP framework and tools to enhance the competitive advantage in this field.
- Developing your knowledge on the fund industry, sustainability, fund management, risk and performance metrics, financial instruments, GIPS composites, regulation and others.

Your experience and background:
- Master’s degree in economics, finance or similar (or about to graduate).
- Very good skills in written and spoken English. Other languages are considered an asset.
- Genuine interest for investments and asset management.
- You are well-organized, detail oriented and a person with experience in setting priorities and ensuring timely delivery in high quality.
- You rapidly learn new tasks and have the ability to learn how to use additional software applications.
