We are looking for an Intern to join our Corporate Actions team at Nordea Asset Management. About this opportunity

Our Corporate Actions team consists of 6 dedicated specialists across two locations in Denmark and Portugal. Our main purpose is to ensure accurate and timely processing of corporate actions while acting as a professional and reliable partner to our Investment organisation. The team is currently going through an exciting transformation in systems and processes, making this a great time to join and be part of the journey.

The role is based in Oeiras (Quinta da Fonte).

What you’ll be doing:

• Learning about the full life-cycle of corporate actions for the global market.
• Supporting the processing of claims on global markets.
• Assisting with reconciliation and investigations under guidance from experienced team members.
• Interacting with Portfolio Managers, custodians and other internal and external business units.
• Contributing to the development of new and improved control routines.

As the Intern, you will support the team in day-to-day operations and get exposure to a wide range of tasks. You will be part of a supportive and inclusive team that will guide you through your learning journey from day one.

We are looking for someone who is motivated and willing to learn — no prior experience in corporate actions is required, we believe that you are:

• Curious and eager to learn new things in a fast-paced environment.
• Structured and organised, able to handle both routine tasks and ad hoc assignments.
• Reliable and proactive, not afraid to ask questions or speak up.

Your experience and background:

• Recently completed a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of or an interest in at least one of the following coding languages: VBA, Python and SQL developer is preferential, but not a requirement.
• Knowledge of financial markets or corporate actions is a plus, but absolutely not required — we will train you.
