You will be working directly at our Lisbon team as an integrated part of our Department in Copenhagen.


About this opportunity

You’ll join the Limit Monitoring team which is part of Risk Management function within Middle Office, within the team we control that Nordea's portfolio managers comply with relevant legislation and regulations as well as the specific investment guidelines which have been agreed to with clients or set out in fund prospectuses. We are responsible for controlling and escalating investment restrictions end-of-day on all mandates and funds handled through the Compliance Manager module of the asset management platform SimCorp Dimension.
 

The role is based in Oeiras.
 

Your future responsibilities:

  • Conduct Daily Limits Monitoring of investment limits for both internal and external portfolio managers using SimCorp Dimension ensuring compliance with regulation (UCITS, US 1940 Act…) and guidelines across all asset classes.
  • On call duty to support Portfolio Managers in the pre-trade check when breaching the Investment limits.
  • Become an integrated part of the daily routines.
  • Escalation of breaches to investment restrictions to Client managers, portfolio managers and risk/compliance functions.
  • Develop and maintain reporting to authorities and stakeholders - providing valuable insights and building ad hoc reports.
  • Improve and automate existing processes.

Your experience and background: 

  • You hold a degree in economics or finance from a university or business school.
  • Preferably, you have experience from working with a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
  • You have an analytical mindset and enjoy working with data to get to the bottom of a problem.
  • You are fluent in English both written and orally.
  • Effective communication, organizational, time management and coordination skills.
  • Team oriented person with proven interpersonal skills: enthusiastic and positive personality, curious, attentive to detail, hard-working, committed and collaborative.
