Paço de Arcos, PT, 2770-131

Job ID: 5518

Are you passionate about data quality and eager to play a key role in building a new data hub in Lisbon? We are looking for an Analyst to join our Market and Reference Data Monitoring team and help ensure the reliability of critical data across Nordea Asset Management.

About Nordea Asset Management

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Market & Reference Data team at an exciting transformation moment. We're building a unified team with two core capabilities: Monitoring and Analytics. As part of our Market & Reference Data Monitoring team, you'll ensure the reliability and accuracy of our critical data products. You'll proactively monitor Reference Data, Benchmarks, and Prices — ensuring our business operates with trusted, high-quality data at all times.

Beyond data oversight, you'll maintain our technical infrastructure and play a vital role in our continuous improvement journey. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on NAM's data foundation while being part of a dynamic, evolving team.

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Monitor and validate data quality across Reference Data, Benchmarks, and Pricing feeds — identifying exceptions and ensuring timely resolution to maintain operational excellence.
  • Maintain and support technical infrastructure including data pipelines, monitoring systems, and automated workflows to ensure reliable data delivery to business stakeholders.
  • Execute daily operational processes including data reconciliation, exception management, and stakeholder communication to ensure continuous, high-quality data supply across NAM's critical business functions.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of operational procedures, runbooks, and technical guidelines to support team scalability and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Lisbon and Copenhagen to support cross-functional data initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

You'll join a growing Lisbon team, part of our broader Market and Reference Data organisation of 15 professionals across Lisbon, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. As we build our unified team structure, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate internationally while contributing to our local growth and transformation.

The role is based in Oeiras (Quinta da Fonte).

Who you are

  • Technically curious - You enjoy working with data systems and tools, and you're motivated to continuously develop your technical capabilities.
  • Proactive - You anticipate issues before they escalate and take initiative to resolve them efficiently.
  • A collaborative team player - You communicate clearly and work effectively with colleagues across locations and functions.

Your background and skills include:

  • Experience with or strong interest in financial data quality monitoring, validation, or reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with databases or data tools — experience with SQL, Python, or similar is an advantage.
  • Background in operational data workflows or exception management is a plus.
